Max’s is located next to STATS in Downtown Atlanta’s Luckie Marietta District. The historic building’s original brick walls from the 1900s are decorated with black and white photos of New York and its classic pizzerias and highlighted by antique French factory lamps. A large oak communal table encourages groups to gather and share, while a brick patio lures guests to enjoy outdoor dining. Kids at Max’s

Kids and Max’s go together like pepperoni and cheese. Every young (or young at heart) customer receives a ball of dough to keep their hands busy as they wait for the food. Many of our small diners have made some pretty creative items with their dough! After ordering from the kid friendly menu, most enjoy cones for dessert (and Mom and Dad don’t mind the price!). The second floor of Max’s features a 1,700-square-foot private room with a separate entrance. With a kid-friendly space for 200 people for a reception and seating for 100, Max’s is the perfect place to invite friends and family for pizza for any occasion including birthday parties, bar mitzvah’s and more!

Who is Max?

At 2 ½ years old, Max is a lifetime resident of the Luckie Marietta district, downtown’s walkable neighborhood with restaurants, attractions, hotels and a helipad. He loves pizza and helicopters. His favorite day includes walking to the Children’s Museum of Atlanta and the Georgia Aquarium finished with a meal at Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria. All children who visit Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria receive a giant dough ball to play with and, without fail, Max asks for his upon arrival. His favorite dishes include the spaghetti and meatballs and the cheese pizza. He splurges on a chocolate gelato which ends up on the table, on his shirt and in his tummy!

Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria is open seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner from 11am to 9pm Sunday through Wednesday and 11am to 11pm Thursday through Saturday.
